Reconciled From Enemies to Friends
Romans 5:9-10
Paul declares that if God reconciled us to himself while we were still his enemies, actively hostile toward him, how much more will he sustain and save us now that we have been brought near through Christ's blood.
The word enemy is a strong one. It means hostile. Hateful. Yet that is exactly what Paul calls us before Christ intervened. We were not merely indifferent toward God. We were opposed to him.
