The Call to Follow
Luke 5:1-11
Peter had worked all night and caught nothing. Exhausted and disappointed, he heard Jesus say, "Put out into deep water and let down your nets." Despite his professional experience telling him otherwise, Peter responded with faith: "If you say so, I will." This moment captures the essence of following Jesus—trusting Him even when it doesn't make sense. Following Christ isn't about our expertise or understanding; it's about obedience to His voice. Like Peter, we may feel depleted, having tried everything in our own strength. But when Jesus speaks, our proper response is surrender. Today, ask yourself: What is Jesus asking me to do that seems impossible? Will I trust Him enough to say, "If you say so, I will"?
