In Romans 12:1-2, Paul uses some very strong language to move his Roman audience to prent themselves as a living sacrifice. One word he uses is THEREFORE; when we see that word in Scripture, we mus understand what it is there for. In the first 11 chapters of Romans, Paul lays out the doctrine of what it means to be made righteous through Jesus' sacrifice. The 'therefore' is the connection between the doctrine he presents and what our duty is as followers of Christ. Our duty is to be a living sacrifice where we go all in, living our lives on the altar.
