I recently heard a pastor speak about his ministry and how his doors were always open to the marginalized and outcasts of society. One of his parishioners confronted him for bringing "those people" into the church and how it was ruining the church.

When Jesus confronted the Pharisees for not inviting "those people" into their homes, it was His way of saying they needed to ruin the Church. Today, we have become very good at writing checks and serving "those people." Jesus was a friend of sinners. He opened His arms and called them friend and invited them to sit with Him and dine.

If we are to truly ever make a change in the world around us, we too must ruin the church by opening our arms and doors and saying, "Friend; come and sit and dine with me."
