Have you ever made a mistake? Not the run to the grocery store for milk and get home only to find out you don't have milk kind of mistake. I'm talking about the kind of mistake that is so public that you just want to crawl in a shell and hide kind of mistake. If you've ever done anything of significance in your life, then you've probably felt this before. Look at Peter, dude made tons of mistakes. Mistakes are going happen. They don't have to be the end of your story. Mistakes may describe you, but they don't define you. Jesus takes those defining moments in life and refines them so He can keep writing your story.
