The rich young ruler knew the commandments and followed them. When Jesus asked him to fully surrender, he chose to KNOW Jesus versus SURRENDERING to Jesus. To live a life of going ALL IN, we too must make a choice between full surrender or sitting back and knowing Jesus. Jesus' words remind us that if we want to go ALL IN, we must deny ourselves and take up our crosses daily. The rich young ruler chose to keep losing his comfortable life instead of denying himself. What will you choose?
